From there, the “orange coin” rolled down to $16,535 in the 9th hour, then got as high as $16,595 in the third quarter. “Bit” would go on to gradually fall from there, not finding support until it reached $16,510 in the fourth quarter, eventually retiring at $16,520 going into Sunday. BTC, now down 2% for the week, has a marketcap of $318 billion. Bitcoin dominance, meanwhile, is at 38.5% versus all cryptoassets.
In the world of Ether (ETH) on Saturday, the second-largest crypto by value was trading at $1,200, before falling to $1,190 in the 5th hour, then climbing right back up to $1,200 in the third quarter. From there, ETH ended up at $1,900 in the final hours, a price point around which it would retire leading into Sunday. ETH, now down over 2% for the week, has a marketcap of $144 billion.
As for the altcoin sector, the Top 100 closed with 60% of the bunch in red. Like the previous day, however, there were no double-digit percentage losers among the bunch. The total marketcap of all cryptoassets, meanwhile, virtually unfazed in the last 24 hours, is still at around $827 billion.
