Tuesday in the Tokeny transfers of crypto, Bitcoin (BTC) was at $22,800 when the day began, and found a bottom at $22,700 early in the 3rd hour, before climbing to $23,400 in the second quarter (7th to 12th hours), then correcting back down to $23,000 around midday. From there, “Bit” made it up to $23,100 in the 3rd quarter, where it would get rejected and get sent back down to $22,800 to start off the fourth. In the final hours, BTC would make it to just above $23,000 where it would retire leading into Wednesday, not far from where it started the day. BTC, while up 8% for the week and 19% for the month, is still down 42% for the year, with a marketcap of $437 billion. Meanwhile, Bitcoin dominance is 39.6% versus all cryptoassets, after failing .3% in the last 24 hours.
Ether (ETH) was at $1,600 when the clock turned Tuesday, but would waste no time climbing to $1,670 early, before going on to trade in a tight channel between $1,650 and $1,670 in the first half. From there, the asset corrected back down to $1,600 in the third, only to pump right back to $1,660 by the start of the fourth. Like “Bit” brother, however, ETH would close the day only $20 more valuable than when it started, which, in ETH’s case, was $1,620 going into Wednesday. ETH, now up 13% for the week and 51% for the month, is still down 38% for the year, with a marketcap of $194 billion.
As opposed to the previous day when 80% of the Top-100 altcoins by marketcap closed the day in red, Tuesday ended with the same number of assets in the green. From that list, however, there were only two double-digit percentage gainers, Lido DAO (LDO), which went up 18%, and Synthetix (SNX), which went up 13%, accompanied by the only big loser, Chiliz (CHZ), losing 10% in the same time period. The total marketcap of all cryptoassets, meanwhile, rose 1% to $1.104 trillion.
